We are looking for a driven Aerodynamics Project Leader to work closely with our Principal Aerodynamicists and take the technical lead of a team of talented engineers. This role focuses on developing and empowering team members to create innovative aerodynamic solutions.
Main Duties:
- Work to clear aerodynamic objectives, maximising the group’s learning through effective use of CFD & experimental data.
- Report results and theories in a clear and concise manner that encourages challenge and sharing of ideas.
- Develop and empower less-experienced members of the group.
- Prepare, plan and execute successful wind tunnel test sessions in our state-of-the-art, on-site test facility.
- Lead development projects with a drive for collaboration, technical innovation and excellence.
- Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of our work.
- Maintain positive relationships and clear communication of information throughout the department and across the team.
Our ideal Aerodynamics Project Leader will have the following:
- Multiple years’ experience in F1 aerodynamic development.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate across functions/departments.
- Proven ability to develop less experienced team members.
- Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of aerodynamics.
- Familiarity with CFD techniques, including non-standard models.
- Proficiency in CAD for the design of aerodynamic surfaces.

- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse data and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive cultural change.
