Job Description

About the Department:
The structures department drives car design forward ensuring components are safe while extracting the maximum performance available. We verify that designs meet FIA and internal criteria working with multiple departments to achieve the optimum for all.

Role Overview:
As a Structures Graduate, you will be at the heart of our Structures team, where you’ll play a critical role in analysing components and assemblies from all over the car making sure they meet our safety criteria while reducing weight to a minimum. Working in the structures department gives you the opportunity to work across multiple departments balancing multiple constraints and requirements. We influence designs from the very first concepts through to small details being key contributors in the entire process.
As a Structures Graduate at Atlassian Williams, you will:
• Assist with the analysis of vehicle component.
• Provide concise relevant feedback to design stakeholders
• Attend team meetings to discuss ongoing projects
• Collaborate with various departments for seamless integration of new technologies
• Regularly communicate with engineers and project managers to meet all technical requirements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • A clear focus on structural engineering and related technologies.
  • Individuals will need to be adaptable, demonstrate initiative and enjoy working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong background in mechanical or automotive engineering developed from studies or personal projects.
  • Experience of FEA analysis using Abaqus CAEor similar is advantageous
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate and learn from those around them
  • Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects is advantageous
  • Proactive problem-solving skills

As this is a graduate role, students must be graduating in 2025 or be within 18 months of graduation. This role will start in September 2025.
