Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our busy supply chain team in Fareham. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing function where your ideas and insights can make a real cultural impact. In this role, you’ll help ensure our customers get what they need, when they need it – all while keeping our stock levels efficient and well-managed. You’ll work closely with teams across the business and play a key part in shaping how we plan and improve our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Keep products available for customers across multiple sites and channels.
- Maintain optimum stock levels.
- Engage teams across the business to drive alignment on supply chain goals.
- Partner with Commercial, Sales, Warehousing and Branch teams to support business goals.
- Share insights through clear reporting on stock and performance KPIs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across our supply chain.
- Support and improve forecasting and planning processes.
- Monitor stock levels and reduce excess or slow-moving items.
- Work with suppliers to maintain strong service levels, including site visits.
Qualifications
- Experience in supply chain within a retail or commercial setting.
- Highly confident in working with data and using forecasting tools.
- Intermediate/advanced user of MS Excel.
- Commercially aware with the ability to optimize product range to drive sales.
- Proactive and solution-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Confident in constructively challenging the status quo.
- Collaborative with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Analytically strong with excellent attention to detail.
