Position: Driver & Branch Assistant (Part Time)

Salary: Up to £19,500 per annum DOE

Hours: 30 /week MON-FRI flexible start/finish between 7am-5pm NO WEEKENDS

Location: Williams, Unit 11 Clifton Road Industrial Estate, Cambridge, CB1 7EA

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we’re looking for a Driver & Branch Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Cambridge. This is a varied and active role which includes:

  • Predominantly delivery driving (70%)
  • Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties (15%)
  • Serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone (15%)

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants, builders' merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, Hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you.

As our Driver & Branch Assistant, you’ll be:

  • Predominantly delivering plumbing and heating products to our trades customers in the local area.
  • Maintaining the warehouse, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
  • Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
  • Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery.
  • Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
  • Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
  • Processing quotes.
