Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Chichester on a three month fixed term contract!
You’ll be prominently making deliveries, as well as occasionally getting involved in preparing goods for deliveries between runs and during quiet periods, so good attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are a must!
Whilst overtime is not guaranteed, it is occasionally available during particularly busy periods. Therefore, some degree of flexibility from the successful applicant is highly desirable.
If you also have previous exposure of working within delivery driving, builders merchants or wholesaler, DIY, Hardware, plumbing and heating merchants, we would LOVE to hear from you!
As a Driver & Warehouse Assistant you'll be:
- Delivering orders safely, efficiently and with excellent customer service.
- Using forklifts (if qualified) and other mechanical aids.
- Helping to keep the warehouse clean, tidy and safe.
- Picking goods and preparing orders for delivery.
- Receipting, storing and replenishing goods.
- Undertaking inventory control.
Ideally, you are:
- Capable of working in what can sometimes be a physically challenging role.
- Able to learn in-house IT systems with sound basic computer literacy.
- Highly accurate in your approach to work with good attention to detail.
- Respectful in adhering to Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
- Keen to meet deadlines with a flexible approach to daily tasks.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- A great team player who makes a positive contribution.
