Position: Branch Assistant /Driver in Basingstoke

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 40 /week MON-FRI 07:00-15:30 - NO WEEKENDS!

Location: Williams, Basingstoke

A full, clean UK Driving Licence is essential for this role

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a Branch Assistant /Driver to join our busy and friendly team in Basingstoke! This is a varied and active role which includes:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone
  • Delivery driving
  • Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties

If you like having lots of variety in your daily tasks, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for!

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants, builders' merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, Hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries
  • Delivering plumbing and heating products to our trades customers in the local area
  • Maintaining the warehouse, including stock rotation and general housekeeping
  • Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery
  • Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods
  • Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch
  • Processing quotes
