Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we’re looking for a Branch Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Basingstoke!
This is a varied and active role which includes:
- Predominantly carrying out warehouse duties (65%)
- Serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone (30%)
- Occasionally delivery driving (5% / if qualified - not essential)

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants, builders’ merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, Hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Predominantly delivering plumbing and heating products to our trades customers in the local area.
- Maintaining the warehouse, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
- Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
- Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery.
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
- Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
- Processing quotes.

- Capable of working in what can sometimes be a physically challenging role.
