Position: Trade Counter Assistant

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 40 /week MON-FRI 08:30-17:00 / 07:00-15:30 ROTA NO WEEKENDS!

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a Trade Counter Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Bedfont! This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll primarily be serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone, providing helpful advice and excellent service. From time to time, you’ll also support with warehouse duties and assist with local deliveries. An understanding of plumbing and heating products is expected, as you’ll be helping customers find the right products for their needs.

As our Trade Counter Assistant, you'll be:

  • Predominantly serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
  • Warehouse maintenance, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
  • Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery.
  • Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
  • Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
  • Carrying out deliveries in the local area.
  • Processing quotes.

Ideally, you are:

  • Experienced in working with tradespeople and knowledgeable of plumbing and heating products (essential).
  • An enthusiastic team player wanting to make a positive contribution.
