Job Title: Interim Sales Lead

Our client is a prominent manufacturer of premium sanitary ware across Europe and the USA. The business is performing well and is expanding into new countries with impressive growth numbers achieved to date.

The business is looking to penetrate the UK market and has ambitious plans to build a sales pipeline that will justify the opening of a manufacturing site in the UK. The business already has an enviable track record of selling its products through distributors in the countries that it currently serves, it has impressive quality standards and a solid distribution network. This is an excellent business.

An experienced Interim Sales Lead is required to build a strategic plan to achieve a minimum of £3m in revenue. Once the strategic plan has been created and approved by the board this assignment will become a hands-on, customer-focused role delivering the objectives detailed below.

It is imperative that the Interim Manager has a proven track record of delivering sales growth in the sanitary ware or a closely associated industry selling to distribution companies based in the UK.

This is a rare opportunity to join an impressive fast growing, established business as an Interim Sales and Commercial professional with the opportunity to shape your own role in the future as a permanent member of the UK leadership team. This could be as a Sales Director or General Manager / Managing Director.

Objectives for the first 3 months

  • Understand the business
  • Map out the UK market for Sanitary ware
  • Identify the distributors for Sanitary ware and create a target list
  • Create the marketing and sales strategy
  • Create a business case, proposition and plan to deliver £3m in sales

Objectives for the first 6 months

  • Approach the target market
  • Work with the group marketing and commercial to fine tune the proposition
  • Provide regular feedback on progress versus plan
  • Achieve £500k in sales
  • Ensure customer expectations are met

Objectives for the first 12 months

  • Achieve minimum £3m in sales
  • Build a performance based team
  • Create the 3 year sales plan
  • Create the 3 year business case
  • Lead the creation of a UK manufacturing site
