Role Responsibilities

As an Operations Assistant based in Stornoway, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter
  • Offering advice and product knowledge
  • Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers
  • Building rapport with customers & suppliers
  • Responding to any queries over the phone or email
  • Processing sales
  • Performing general warehouse duties including goods in & out, filling paperwork, picking and packing customer orders and merchandising

This is a Full Time permanent position working 41.5 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 08.00am-5.00pm, Friday 08.00am-4pm. Alternate Saturdays 09.00am-1pm, paid as overtime.

Required Qualifications

  • Full UK manual driving licence is essential
  • Previous experience in sales/retail/warehouse
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, including the completion of necessary training (forklift licence training will be provided)
  • A strong work ethic and desire to work as part of a team
