Role Responsibilities
As an Operations Assistant based in Stornoway, you’ll be responsible for:
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Offering advice and product knowledge
- Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customers
- Building rapport with customers & suppliers
- Responding to any queries whether that is over the phone or email
- Processing sales
- Performing general warehouse duties including goods in & out, filling paperwork, picking and packing customer orders and merchandising
This is a Full Time permanent position working 41.5 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 08.00am-5.00pm, Friday 08.00am-4pm. Alternate Saturdays 09.00am-1pm, paid as overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK manual driving licence is essential
- Previous experience in sales/retail/warehouse
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, including the completion of necessary training (forklift licence training will be provided)
- A strong work ethic and desire to work as part of a team
