We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Second Chef to join the team in our Restaurant in Howdens Garden Centre.
Competitive Salary based on experience. All positions include weekends working so flexibility is a must.
The Role
As a Second Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the operation of all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen. You will work as part of a small team under the guidance of the Head Chef and be responsible for the preparation of our fresh ingredients for our full menu range.
What you will be doing as a Second Chef?
- Prepare fresh ingredients
- Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
- Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
- Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
- Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
- Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
