The predicted salary is between 10 - 13 £ per hour.
We are looking for a Part Time Temporary Retail Assistant to join the team in our Brookside Garden Centre. Our competitive rates of pay depend on age. The hours for this position are 20 per week over 4 days including regular weekend shifts, so flexibility is a must. This is a temporary role until June 2026.
Responsibilities
- Till operation and serving customers
- Stock replenishment and merchandising across all departments
- Creating and maintaining fabulous product displays
- Assisting customers across the Centre, taking every opportunity to WOW
- Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
- Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
- Collecting trolleys and shopping baskets
Qualifications and qualities
- Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for customer service
- Knowledge of Garden Centre products preferred but not essential as full training will be given
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Great teamwork
- Hardworking
- Shift flexibility including weekends
- The ability to work well and efficiently under pressure
