As Digital Marketing Executive at William Smith Group 1832, you will take ownership of the Group’s digital execution, with a primary focus on website performance, digital campaigns and lead generation. This role is suited to an experienced digital marketer who is comfortable operating with autonomy, managing priorities, and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, commercial environment. You will be trusted to own and evolve the Group’s digital presence, proactively identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure digital activity supports brand growth, customer engagement and revenue objectives.
Responsibilities
- Project management and driving the William Smith Group website(s), ensuring content is accurate, up to date and aligned with brand positioning and business priorities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve user experience, SEO, conversion rates and lead quality, with a strong focus on commercial impact.
- Coordinate website updates, enhancements and testing activity, working with internal stakeholders and external partners where required.
- Ensure consistent standards of quality, governance and brand presentation across all digital touchpoints.
- Execute digital marketing campaigns to support Group-wide acquisition, engagement and growth objectives.
- Build, manage and optimise email campaigns and nurture activity aligned to the customer journey.
- Support the delivery and optimisation of paid digital activity (search, display, social), working with agencies or partners where applicable.
- Create and optimise landing pages and digital assets to support campaigns and improve lead conversion.
Performance & insight
- Track, analyse and report on digital performance using tools such as Google Analytics, email platforms and CRM systems.
- Use insight and data to recommend improvements, refinements and priorities, particularly around website performance and conversion.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail across all digital activity.
Collaboration & ways of working
- Work closely with brand, marketing and commercial stakeholders to ensure digital activity supports agreed strategies and growth plans.
- Collaborate with content and social media colleagues to ensure joined-up execution across channels.
- Act as a reliable digital delivery lead, helping to reduce bottlenecks and reactive firefighting within the team.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, escalating risks or capacity issues early where needed.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years’ experience in digital marketing roles with demonstrable ownership of website management and campaign delivery.
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms, email marketing tools and analytics.
- Experience working in a commercial, growth-focused environment.
- Experience working with external agencies or partners is advantageous.
