Senior Operational Due Diligence

About the Role

We're seeking a commercially minded Senior Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Manager to join a dynamic investment team. This is a senior-level position with a particular focus on private markets, including private equity, VC, private credit, and real assets, while also supporting due diligence on selected public market funds.

In addition to leading and executing comprehensive ODD reviews, this individual will play a key strategic role as a voting member of the Investment Committee, influencing the firm’s investment decisions with a practical and commercial lens on operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute in-depth operational due diligence reviews of investment managers, with a primary focus on private market strategies.
• Evaluate fund structures, operational infrastructures, governance, compliance frameworks, and service providers.
• Collaborate closely with investment teams to integrate operational risk assessments into the overall investment process.
• Provide clear, concise reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to investment decisions as an active voting member of the Investment Committee.
• Monitor and review existing managers through ongoing due diligence and reassessments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with managers and service providers to stay informed of industry developments and best practices.
• Help shape the ODD framework, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Experience in private markets operational due diligence.
• Deep understanding of private fund structures, operational models, and regulatory environments.
• Experience with public market funds is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to assess operational risks in a pragmatic and business-aligned way.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence investment decisions at a senior level.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
