Role Description

The Shima Seiki Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hawick, responsible for programming and optimizing Shima Seiki knitting machines to produce high-quality knitwear.

This role involves translating design specifications into machine-ready programs, adjusting patterns and parameters for different yarns and styles, and performing test runs to ensure accurate fit and quality.

The programmer will collaborate closely with production, and technical teams to refine garment structures, resolve programming issues, and maintain efficient workflows on the knitting floor.

Day-to-day tasks include tailoring and updating existing programs, maintaining technical documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in production processes and garment innovation.

Qualifications
