A leading national law firm is seeking a Technical Supervisor to join its Motor Recoveries Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation professional to combine a small caseload with a technical leadership role, supporting the development of fee earners and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence across the team.
As a Technical Supervisor, you will work closely with the Technical Manager, Team Leaders and senior stakeholders to drive technical performance, improve quality, and ensure compliance with client expectations, SLAs and KPIs. Alongside handling a caseload of Small Claims Track litigated matters, you will play a key role in coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues across the department.
The Role
- Managing a caseload of Small Claims Track litigated motor recovery claims
- Supervising and mentoring fee earners to develop technical capability and improve performance
- Supporting the Technical Manager in embedding best practice and maintaining the Recoveries Quality Framework
- Working closely with Team Leaders and senior stakeholders to ensure client SLAs, KPIs and service standards are consistently achieved
- Identifying technical training needs and delivering coaching, mentoring and onboarding support
- Developing new starters through the competency framework to achieve financial authority within six months
- Monitoring workflows, identifying areas of risk, emerging trends and opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or equivalent with the appropriate practice rights
- Proven litigation experience, ideally within motor recoveries (claimant or defendant experience considered)
- Previous experience managing your own litigated caseload
- Strong understanding of the claims process, litigation strategy and client service requirements
- Experience supervising, mentoring or training colleagues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
