A Legal 500-ranked firm with a well-established regional presence and ongoing national expansion is looking to appoint a Legal Director / Salaried Partner into its Agriculture & Landed Estates Litigation team in Stoke-on-Trent. This presents a compelling opportunity for a senior Litigator and Solicitor to join a newly created office (c.10 lawyers), with substantial investment and a strong pipeline of work already in place. In a supportive and ambitious environment, you will play a pivotal role in leading and growing the firm's Agriculture offering.

The Role:

  • Leading a varied caseload of Agriculture and landed estate disputes, acting as a senior Litigator across complex rural matters
  • Handling high-value and technically challenging Litigation involving farming businesses, estates, and landowners
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear and commercially focused guidance
  • Overseeing matters from instruction through to resolution, including ADR and court proceedings
  • Drafting and supervising legal documentation, pleadings, and strategy
  • Building and developing long-term client relationships
  • Driving business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the practice

The Candidate:

  • An experienced Litigator currently operating at, or ready to step into, Legal Director / Salaried Partner level
  • Qualified Solicitor with a strong background in complex land and rural disputes
  • Demonstrable expertise across Litigation matters, ideally within Agriculture or landed estates
  • Proven ability to manage high-value work and develop key client relationships
  • Commercially astute, with a track record of supporting business growth
  • Experience gained within a reputable regional or national firm
  • A natural leader, motivated to play a key role in a growing and ambitious team
