A leading international law firm is seeking a talented White Collar Crime & Sanctions Associate Solicitor to join its highly regarded Financial Regulatory team in Central London. The team advises multinational organisations, insurers, financial institutions and global corporates on complex financial crime, sanctions, regulatory investigations and fraud-related matters across multiple jurisdictions. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly established and well respected practice operating at the forefront of an evolving international regulatory landscape.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of complex matters involving sanctions compliance, financial crime risk management, regulatory investigations, enforcement actions and cross-border advisory work. Working alongside recognised experts in the field, you will advise clients across sectors including insurance, financial services, shipping, commodities and energy.
The firm is seeking a Solicitor with at least 2+ years' PQE and demonstrable experience in white collar crime, financial crime, regulatory investigations or sanctions matters. Success in this role means delivering commercially focused legal advice, managing complex regulatory risk matters, developing strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of a market-leading practice.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on UK and international sanctions regimes, including compliance and enforcement risks
- Support and manage complex internal and external investigations
- Advise on financial crime, fraud, bribery, corruption and money laundering matters
- Conduct sanctions risk assessments and compliance reviews
- Draft high-quality legal advice, submissions and regulatory correspondence
- Engage with regulators and enforcement agencies on behalf of clients
- Assist clients with licensing applications, voluntary disclosures and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with international lawyers and multidisciplinary teams on cross-border matters
- Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships
