Regulatory Solicitor – London – Up to £85,000
A highly regarded specialist law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Regulatory Solicitor to join its growing team in London.
This is an opportunity for a solicitor with experience in regulatory, professional discipline, compliance, criminal or related advisory work to join a specialist practice handling a varied range of complex matters.
The role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced lawyers on sensitive and high-value matters, develop specialist expertise and take increasing responsibility for client work.
The Role
- Manage and assist with a varied caseload of complex regulatory and advisory matters
- Advise clients on regulatory obligations, investigations, compliance and enforcement
- Assist with contentious regulatory matters and formal proceedings
- Support clients through investigations and enforcement processes
- Undertake legal research and provide clear, practical advice on complex regulatory issues
- Prepare correspondence, submissions, statements and other legal documentation
- Liaise with clients, regulators, experts, counsel and other relevant stakeholders
- Attend meetings, hearings and other proceedings where appropriate
- Assist with litigation, appeals and other challenges to regulatory decisions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Work closely with senior lawyers and contribute to the development of the wider practice
- Contribute to business development, networking and client-facing initiatives
- Develop specialist knowledge across a range of regulated sectors
About You
- A Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2+ years' PQE
- Experience in regulatory, professional discipline, criminal, compliance or related advisory work
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent drafting and communication abilities
- Confident dealing with clients and other professional stakeholders
- Comfortable handling sensitive and complex matters
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
- Commercially aware with a practical and client-focused approach
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
- A genuine interest in developing a specialist regulatory practice
