The Role: Newly Qualified Criminal Solicitor – Central London - Excellent benefits

We are working on behalf of a leading London-based law firm to recruit a Newly Qualified Criminal Solicitor for their expanding Criminal Defence team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in a supportive and dynamic environment, working on high-profile cases and gaining hands-on advocacy experience.

You will be involved in:

  • Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including serious and complex crime
  • Attending police stations and representing clients during interviews (Police Station Accreditation preferred)
  • Conducting advocacy in Magistrates’ Court (training and support provided)
  • Preparing clear, accurate legal advice and documentation
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties to progress cases efficiently
  • Supporting senior lawyers and contributing to team objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

The Ideal Candidate:

  • SRA qualified solicitor with a strong interest in Criminal Law
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
  • IT proficiency and strong organisational skills

  • Police Station Accreditation (desired)
  • Duty Solicitor status or willingness to work towards it
