Job Description
About the Job
Senior Construction Lawyer – London / Hybrid – Up to £180,000 + Bonus
An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a boutique construction and projects law firm that’s quietly redefining what quality private practice looks like – focused on integrity, collaboration, and balance rather than size or volume.
The firm acts for developers and contractors with turnovers of £100m+, including well-known names in the sector. It offers a full-service practice spanning both contentious and non-contentious construction, advising on complex domestic projects under JCT and NEC contracts across a range of sectors.
Rather than chasing directory rankings or awards, this firm’s reputation is built through word-of-mouth and client trust. Its growth is measured, deliberate, and underpinned by a commitment to excellence and sustainable working practices.
This is a rare chance to join a firm in its next phase of development, where you’ll have genuine influence in shaping the team’s future direction – free from the bureaucracy and politics of traditional City models.
The Candidate
- Senior Construction Lawyer, ideally from a top-tier or reputable mid-market firm
- Experience in either contentious or non-contentious construction (or a blend of both)
- Deep understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
- Strong technical ability with a collaborative, low-ego approach
- Looking for a long-term role within a supportive, quality-driven environment
The Benefits and How to Apply
- Upwards of £150,000 base salary (DOE) + bonus
- Hybrid working and autonomy over your practice (1- 2 days in the office)
- Genuine work-life balance – no unrealistic billing pressure
- Opportunity to help shape the next phase of a growing firm
- Supportive culture built on trust, quality, and integrity
Apply in the strictest confidence online or via telephone – no CV required for an initial conversation.
