Property Recovery Solicitor – London – Salary £NEG

A leading national insurance law firm is seeking a talented solicitor to join its well-established Property Risks & Coverage Team, specialising in property damage. Based in the London team, this is an excellent retrain opportunity for lawyers with general litigation or insurance experience. The team handles a broad range of disputes on behalf of major insurers, including claims arising from fires, floods, impacts, and product liability.

You will manage a caseload of household and commercial property recovery matters, typically valued between £10,000 and £100,000, with scope to handle more complex claims over £100,000 as you develop. The role includes full litigation duties, from initial case assessment and evidence review to instructing counsel, negotiating settlements, preparing trial documents, and attending court.

The Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with 0–3 years’ post-qualification experience or equivalent
  • Litigation experience (commercial, insurance, or civil) – retrain opportunity available
  • Strong interest in property litigation and/or insurance recovery
  • Commercially aware with enthusiasm for client relationship-building
  • Excellent organisation, drafting, and time-management skills
  • Confident working both independently and collaboratively
