This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable law firm in Newcastle city centre, with a strong reputation in both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. As the department continues to expand, we are looking to appoint an experienced Solicitor to play a key role within the team.
You will manage your own caseload while also working alongside Senior Solicitors on more complex matters, gaining exposure to high‑quality and technically challenging work.
The Role:- Manage your own caseload of Clinical Negligence claims (pre‑litigation and litigated)
- Support Senior Solicitors on complex and high‑value cases
- Investigate liability and review detailed medical records
- Instruct medical experts and obtain key evidence
- Draft Letters of Claim and other key legal documents
- Assess quantum and prepare Part 36 offers
- Work across the full litigation process in line with CPR and Pre‑Action Protocols
- Deliver high standards of case progression and client care
- Develop expertise in Clinical Negligence within a well‑established and expanding team
- Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ‑8 PQE)
- Experience handling Clinical Negligence claims
- Strong knowledge of the Clinical Negligence Pre‑Action Protocol
- Good understanding of CPR and litigation processes
- Confident managing KPIs and caseload targets
- Experience training or supporting junior colleagues (desirable)
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication and client care ability
- Able to work independently and within a team
