p strong Medical Malpractice Solicitor - Leeds - Up to Β£80,000 /strong /p p br /p p We are working with a well-established specialist law firm to recruit a Medical Malpractice Solicitor to join its growing healthcare litigation team in Leeds. /p p br /p p This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with 1-8 years PQE to work on a varied caseload of defendant medical malpractice claims, acting for healthcare organisations, insurers and other professional clients. /p p br /p p Youll have the opportunity to manage your own matters while working closely with experienced lawyers on complex claims, with strong scope for career development, client exposure and progression. /p p br /p p strong The Role: /strong /p p br /p ul li Manage a caseload of defendant medical malpractice claims from notification through to resolution or trial /li li Assist senior lawyers with complex and high-value healthcare claims /li li Liaise with insurers, brokers, healthcare providers, solicitors and witnesses /li li Obtain evidence and instruct appropriate medical experts and counsel /li li Attend conferences, hearings and other key stages of litigation where required /li li Draft correspondence, reports, advice and case strategy documents /li li Manage case deadlines, diaries and action points effectively /li li Support and supervise junior members of the team where appropriate /li li Maintain accurate client and matter records /li li Keep up to date with developments in clinical negligence and healthcare litigation /li li Contribute to business development, client training and relationship-building initiatives /li li Work towards agreed financial, quality and client service objectives /li /ul p br /p p strong About You: /strong /p p br /p ul li Qualified Solicitor with 1-8 years PQE /li li Experience in defendant medical malpractice /li li Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant pre-action protocols /li li Experience gained through insurer or NHS-related instructions would be advantageous /li li Good understanding of the relationship between insurers, brokers and insured clients /li li Strong analytical, tactical and drafting skills /li li Excellent attention to detail and organisation /li li Able to manage a varied caseload and work effectively to deadlines /li li Commercial, solution-focused and client-focused approach /li li Confident working independently while also knowing when to seek support /li li Willingness to contribute to business development and client training /li /ul p br /p p strong The Benefits: /strong /p p br /p ul li Salary up to Β£80,000 depending on experience /li li 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays /li li Flexible and hybrid working /li li Individual healthcare cover, with option to add family members /li li Life assurance of 4x salary /li li Travel loan scheme /li li Discounted gym membership /li li Employee-funded dental reimbursement scheme /li li Cycle to work scheme /li li Employee offers and discounts /li li Ongoing training and professional development /li li Strong opportunities for progression within a specialist healthcare practice /li /ul p br /p p strong Apply in the strictest of confidence online and or via telephone. /strong /p p br /p p strong Contact Danielle Lawton /strong Retained Consultant /p p br /p p Direct Dial: strong 0113 511 7115 /strong Mobile: strong 0737 602 8332 /strong /p p Email: strong Danielle.Lawton@williamjamesrecruitment.com /strong /p
