Property & Housing Litigation Associate Solicitor – Nottingham City Centre with Hybrid Working – £50,000 to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

A nationally recognised, Legal 500 Tier 1 ranked Housing team is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its Nottingham office. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading social housing & property litigation practices, working closely with major housing provider clients on complex and high-value matters. With a strong reputation in the sector, a collaborative team environment, and genuine opportunities for progression, this role offers high-quality work alongside exceptional flexibility, including hybrid working with only one office day per week.

The Role:

  • Managing a varied caseload of Social Housing & Property Litigation matters on behalf of registered providers and social housing clients
  • Handling housing disrepair claims, statutory nuisance claims, anti-social behaviour matters, injunctions, possession proceedings and housing-related personal injury claims
  • Assisting on high-value and technically challenging social housing disputes alongside senior lawyers within the team
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and other legal documentation
  • Advising clients on litigation strategy, risk and case progression
  • Conducting witness interviews, disclosure exercises and legal research
  • Liaising with experts, counsel and other key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a matter
  • Preparing for hearings, including evidence gathering, statement preparation and trial bundles
  • Negotiating settlements and maintaining strong relationships with clients

The Candidate:

  • A Solicitor with experience in Social Housing Litigation or Property Litigation
  • Experience handling at least one area of social housing disputes, such as housing disrepair, anti-social behaviour, possession proceedings, statutory nuisance or related litigation
  • Experience managing claims through both pre-litigation and litigated stages
  • Strong technical litigation skills with excellent drafting ability
  • Commercially aware, organised and capable of managing competing deadlines
  • A proactive and client-focused approach with strong communication and relationship management skills
