This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss team within a multi-award-winning national law firm. The team handles complex, high-value claims across a range of sectors, working with insurers and commercial clients on significant injury matters.
Due to continued expansion, the firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor to support large loss litigation across motor, employer’s liability, public liability and indemnity matters. This role is ideal for someone who is ready for the next step in their career and can quickly take ownership of demanding workstreams.
The Role
- Assist on a varied caseload of high-value catastrophic injury and large loss claims
- Conduct liability investigations and support quantum assessment work for multi-track claims
- Take witness statements, review medical records, and manage evidential packages
- Prepare initial case reports and ongoing client updates in line with SLA requirements
- Support court hearings, CMCs and pre-trial meetings, and ensure compliance with court timetables
- Draft legal documents and client advice, including interlocutory applications
- Support partners in servicing and developing client relationships and growing new business
The Candidate
- Qualified solicitor with experience in personal injury litigation, ideally on the defence side
- Confident managing complex and high-value cases in a fast-paced environment
- Strong case management, drafting and analytical skills
- Able to work to deadlines and meet client SLA/MI requirements
- Strong attention to detail and professional client communication
- Commercially minded and keen to develop client relationships and business development skills
- Transferable experience from claimant-side personal injury work will also be considered
