The successful Legal Cashier will be responsible for managing a broad range of legal accounting duties including client and office account transactions, reconciliations, billing support and financial administration. The Role Processing client and office account receipts, payments and transfers Managing electronic payments including BACS and CHAPS transactions Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations Maintaining accurate client ledger balances and financial records Supporting billing, invoicing and credit control processes Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules and internal procedures Dealing with finance-related queries from fee earners, clients and third parties Supporting audits and regulatory requirements as required Contributing to the efficient operation of the firm's finance function The Candidate Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm Strong knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules Experience handling client and office account transactions Confident completing bank and client account reconciliations Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience using legal accounts software and Microsoft Office Professional, reliable and team-oriented approach Benefits
