Overview
In this role, you’ll be a key part of a collaborative legal team, assisting fee earners and ensuring client matters are handled with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities
- Producing legal documents and correspondence via audio typing and word processing
- Opening, closing, and managing digital client files
- Preparing court forms, pleadings, and outgoing documentation
- Scheduling meetings, managing diaries, and organising appointments
- Acting as a professional first point of contact for clients over the phone and in person
- Supporting other secretaries and admin staff when needed
- Upholding client confidentiality and contributing to the firm’s outstanding client care reputation
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary (Personal Injury or Civil Litigation preferred)
- Fast and accurate audio typing skills (65+ wpm ideal)
- Strong IT skills; familiarity with BigHand and Proclaim highly advantageous
- Excellent written English, grammar, and spelling
- A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach
- Strong client service skills and a professional, friendly manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment
