Our client is a long-established UK commercial law firm recruiting an Insolvency & Restructuring Partner to lead and develop its insolvency offering. The firm sits within a global network and has expanded strategically in recent years through both acquisition and organic growth, including the addition of a specialist real estate and construction practice. Core strengths include Banking & Finance, Commercial & Corporate, Real Estate Corporate, and Real Estate Investment & Finance.
Following the retirement of the former Head of Insolvency, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the practice with full strategic backing. A strong senior associate and mid-level associate remain in post, ensuring continuity of client relationships. The firm is fully committed to investing in Insolvency & Restructuring as a core part of its long-term strategy.
The Insolvency & Restructuring Group advises on UK and international corporate and personal insolvency, working closely with insolvency practitioners, directors, individuals, finance directors, and credit controllers. The practice covers the full lifecycle of distressed situations, from early-stage restructuring and rescue through to formal insolvency and enforcement.
The Candidate
- Experienced Insolvency & Restructuring Partner with a strong track record across corporate and personal insolvency
- Comfortable advising on both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters
- Established client relationships and referral networks, or the ability to develop them
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior lawyers
- Commercially minded, collaborative, and entrepreneurial in approach
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary, full-service environment preferred
