Inquest Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive – Leeds – Hybrid – up to £60,000

About the Job

An award-winning, multi-service law firm with a national reputation is looking to appoint an experienced Inquest Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its expanding team in Leeds. The firm is known for its specialist legal services, a strong focus on client care, and a supportive, collaborative working culture.

In this role, you’ll manage a caseload of Inquest matters, including complex Article 2 cases, and work closely with clients, coroners, and third parties. The successful candidate will investigate cases thoroughly and prepare detailed submissions.

Experience with Legal Aid Agency (LAA) funding is essential.

The Candidate

• A qualified Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive with strong Inquest experience
• Previous experience of representing clients at inquests, including Article 2 proceedings
• Knowledge of Article 2 inquests and LAA funding procedures
• Advocacy skills
• Prioritise and manage a varied caseload
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• Excellent client care skills
