In-House Solicitor Advocate - Liverpool - Hybrid - up to £50,000

This is a superb opportunity to join a Top Tier Legal 500 firm in the North West. Following the continued growth and development of the firm’s highly regarded Advocacy department, the firm is seeking to appoint a Barrister or qualified Solicitor who has a genuine interest in advocacy and is looking to progress into an in-house advocate role. This is a career-defining opportunity to work within a supportive and high-performing team on a diverse and challenging caseload.

The firm is committed to supporting professional development and is willing to assist any Solicitor in obtaining their Higher Rights of Audience, providing a clear pathway for career progression in advocacy.

The role offers a steady stream of high-quality work, with full training, guidance, and ongoing support from senior colleagues. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising case handlers on complex matters, delivering internal training sessions, drafting and reviewing pleadings, and undertaking advocacy duties across a range of proceedings, including Interlocutory Hearings and trials. The position provides exposure to a varied and engaging caseload, helping to develop both technical expertise and practical advocacy skills.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Barrister or Solicitor
  • Confident advocacy experience with the ability to represent clients effectively in hearings and trials
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a varied and complex workload
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also using initiative to progress matters independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, professional, and commercially minded
