Solicitor – Healthcare & Fitness to Practise – Manchester – up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Package – Generous Bonus Scheme

The Role

Superb opportunity to join an award-winning leading Legal 500 law firm that offers specialist quality legal advice to a broad range of Private and Healthcare clients.

The firm is recognised across the globe for its outstanding client care and high-quality lawyers.

Due to the development and expansion of the firm’s Healthcare Regulatory Team, it is now seeking to appoint an experienced Associate / Solicitor to work alongside its existing Team dealing with a range of regulatory cases including disciplinary investigations, NHSE investigations and CQC investigations.

The ideal candidate will be between 1 and 5 years’ PQE and will have experience in Healthcare Regulatory with exposure to advocacy. There is a steady flow of new instructions from private care providers and NHS Resolution and the firm is seeking a motivated, technically strong lawyer with ambition, who can develop relationships and provide an exceptional level of service to its clients.

The role will include handling a caseload including disciplinary investigations, NHSE investigations, and CQC investigations. The role will also include supervision of team members, and occasionally providing training to clients.

The Candidate

  • A qualified solicitor with 1-5 years PQE
  • Experience in Healthcare Regulatory matters, with a focus on Fitness to Practise
  • Previous exposure to advocacy would be preferable
  • Must be able to handle a caseload from straightforward to complex matters
  • Must have a solid understanding of the healthcare regulatory market
  • A pragmatic and methodical approach to handling a variety of cases
  • An ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues
