A well‐regarded national law firm is seeking an Industrial Disease Paralegal to join its expanding Manchester or Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Industrial Disease department handling complex, technical claims while developing your expertise in a top‐tier practice.

As an Industrial Disease Paralegal in the Manchester or Birmingham team, you'll manage a varied caseload of disease‐related matters, benefit from strong mentorship and structured training, and gain hands‐on exposure to high‐quality, challenging work.

The Role

  • Managing a caseload of industrial disease claims including HAVS, Short Tail and NIHL
  • Investigating liability, quantum and causation across a range of technical matters
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and correspondence
  • Reviewing medical, occupational and employment records
  • Preparing evidence and supporting documentation for litigation
  • Liaising with clients, experts and external stakeholders
  • Working closely with senior fee earners on complex and higher‐value cases
  • Ensuring accurate file management and compliance throughout

The Candidate

  • Paralegal with experience assisting on or managing industrial disease files
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process
  • Familiarity with HAVS, Short Tail or NIHL claims
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent organisational and time‐management skills
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Proactive, detail‐focused and committed to high‐quality work
