Superb opportunity to join a modern and forward‑thinking law firm that offers specialist legal advice across family matters, wealth or asset preservation and inheritance planning. Due to expansion in the public law department, the team are now looking for a Childcare Solicitor with at least four years PQE to help grow their leading children team.
The caseload will be varied with matters such as:
- Parent work
- Care proceedings
- Deprivation of liberty applications
- Secure order applications
- Special guardianship orders
- Adoption
The exact work will be allocated to the candidate which they prefer, for example parent or guardian work. Law Society Children Law Accreditation is an advantage, but not essential. The candidate should have a proven track record in this area of law and experience of working within a care team.
The Candidate
- Experienced Childcare Solicitor with 4‑5 PQE that is ideally on the children panel
- Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Experience of running their own caseload
- Undertake own advocacy
- Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
