We are partnering with a highly regarded National commercial law firm to recruit a Managing Associate (Employment) for their Manchester office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a top tier Legal 500 Employment team, led by a highly respected practitioner with over 20 years’ experience.

The opportunity: You’ll work closely with a diverse client base, advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The role offers high-quality work, genuine responsibility, and the chance to contribute to the growth and success of a supportive, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advising on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, whistleblowing, grievance and disciplinary issues, dismissals, redundancy, TUPE and tribunal claims
  • Drafting contracts, policies, and other employment documentation
  • Providing transactional support to corporate colleagues
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to business development initiatives

About you:

  • Qualified Employment Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
  • Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Strong client-handling and business development skills
  • A team player with the confidence to take on responsibility and deliver at a high standard
