Employers' Liability - Litigation Executive - Manchester - Hybrid - up to £45,000
About the Role
Due to the development and continued growth of the firm’s Personal Injury EL / PL department, it is now seeking to appoint a Litigation Executive or a Solicitor who will be accountable for managing your own caseload advising on liability and quantum on Fast-Track and Multi-Track cases. The ideal candidate will have experience handling their own EL/PL caseload. Litigation experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
The successful candidate will handle their cases from initial instruction to settlement, including:
- Drafting witness statements
- Reviewing expert evidence
- Instructing medical experts and counsel
- Attending conferences and trials
- Assessing quantum and making offers of settlement
The Candidate
- Litigation Executive or Solicitor with experience of handling an EL / PL caseload (2+ years)
- Litigation experience is desirable
- Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Professional and effective communication with team members and clients
