The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious Top 100 UK law firm with a strong reputation in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims.
As the firm continues to grow, particularly within its Costs team, they are looking for a dedicated Costs Draftsman to work collaboratively with the existing team, contributing to a diverse and robust legal practice.
The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer, preferably with a background in handling Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases. The role requires expertise in drafting bills of costs and negotiating costs, as well as a solid understanding of Costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
The Candidate
- Minimum of 2 year’s experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- In-depth knowledge of costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules
- Proficient in drafting bills of costs, Replies, Points of Dispute, and Costs Budgets
- Experience in liaising with third-party solicitors and insurers
- Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities
