About the Job
Corporate Senior Associate / Legal Director – Up to £100,000 + Benefits
The Senior Associate / Legal Director will ideally be a 10+PQE Corporate Solicitor and be a self-driven and committed individual with excellent eye for detail.
The successful candidate will deal with a varied caseload of Corporate work and develop plans to grow the department of eight staff.
The firm’s Corporate and Commercial team has a very strong client base of local, national and International clients which the firm are looking to build upon, primarily with Oxford based businesses and beyond.
Corporate experience particularly in Mergers and Acquisitions will be essential and experience in Intellectual Property, Information Technology and data protection fields would be desirable but not essential.
The Oxford area is very active from a corporate and commercial perspective, primarily with Owner/managed businesses to UK subsidiaries of International brands. Sectors of particular growth in the area are: Tech innovative Engineering, Gaming, Automotive (especially motorsport), Distribution and Food team.
Due to succession planning, there is an opportunity to become Head of Department in the near future.
The Candidate
- Corporate Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE
- Attend marketing/networking events for the firm to bring in work
- Representing the firm through external/internal presentations
- Ability to work to deadlines/targets, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
