William James Recruitment is pleased to present an opportunity to join a leading Legal 500 2024-ranked and Chambers & Partners law firm based in Hertfordshire.

The Role

Our client is an established and long-standing full-service law firm that is consistently ranked highly across its practice areas throughout legal directories. The firm has also won various awards for its commitment to its local community and service to its clients.

The firm’s award-winning Will’s Trust and Probate team ranked Tier 4 in the Legal 500 2024 is recruiting a mid-level Contentious Trusts and Probate Lawyer to work alongside existing partners and advise a vast number of Hertfordshire clients as well as HNWI in London and across the UK. The team is currently made up of four Partners, four Senior Associates and two Associates grouped into three main areas: lifetime planning, protecting and managing wealth, and Trusts. The firm is looking for another experienced lawyer to join, offering excellent career progression opportunities. Additionally, there has been significant investment over the last few years to advance the firm’s technology and support, ensuring that across all levels, individuals have access to deliver excellent client service.

The Candidate

  • Minimum 5 PQE Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor
  • Member of ACTAPS - Not Essential but advantageous
  • A good understanding of the Inheritance Act
  • Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
