The Commercial Litigation Team
The team handles a broad spectrum of disputes for clients across multiple sectors. Work includes cross-border litigation, enforcement matters, shareholder disputes, contractual claims, and complex commercial disagreements. The team prides itself on delivering practical, commercially astute advice with a sector-focused approach.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate (2–5 PQE) to join the team in London. The successful candidate will work on complex, high-quality matters across diverse sectors, supported by experienced partners and senior lawyers. This role offers exposure to varied and challenging disputes and excellent opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, company law disputes (including shareholder disputes), and cross-border enforcement claims
- Conducting legal research and providing clear, commercially minded advice to clients
- Drafting inter-partes correspondence, evidence bundles, and interim applications
- Liaising with counsel, experts, and other stakeholders throughout proceedings
- Supporting senior team members on larger-scale litigation and arbitration matters
- Attending client meetings, mediations, and court hearings as required
- Contributing to marketing, business development, and building client relationships within the firm’s sectors
Candidate Profile:
- 2–5 PQE with experience in commercial litigation
- Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills
- Commercially minded and capable of delivering pragmatic, client-focused advice
- Comfortable managing tasks independently while collaborating effectively on larger matters
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of handling a diverse range of disputes across sectors
- Engaged and motivated, with an interest in business development and contributing to firm initiatives
