We are partnering with a leading City-led, international law firm to recruit a Newly Qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor with contentious experience to join their cross-office Commercial Disputes team. This role offers exposure to both national and cross-border disputes, working with clients across a broad range of sectors. You will be encouraged to think commercially, acquiring excellent technical expertise, client management and profile-raising skills.
This role offers the chance to develop your career within a respected Legal 500 practice, known for its broad expertise and forward-thinking approach. Based in the firm’s Manchester office, you will be joining a business that values innovation, diversity and a supportive working environment across all its national and international teams.
The ideal candidate will have wide-ranging experience advising clients in commercial litigation matters through litigation, arbitration or alternative dispute resolution. The work type shall include but not be limited to a variety of disputes, including contractual and commercial claims, public law disputes, professional negligence, injunctions, reputation management issues and contentious insolvency matters.
The successful candidate will benefit from working closely with experienced Partners and associates and collaborate regularly with colleagues across the firm's national disputes network.
The Candidate
- Newly Qualified Solicitor with strong seat experience in Commercial Litigation or disputes
- Excellent technical ability and drafting skills and strong attention to detail
- Assist partners and senior lawyers on more substantial or complex matters
- Commercially minded and keen to understand clients' wider business objectives
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bring a proactive, team-focused approach with a genuine interest in developing a career in disputes
