Job Description
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-tier law firm renowned for delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse client base across the Private, Health, and Social Care sectors.
As part of the ongoing growth and development of the firm’s Clinical Negligence team, the department is now looking to recruit a Paralegal to support its established medical malpractice team. The role involves handling a broad spectrum of defendant clinical negligence matters.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in clinical negligence, personal injury, or civil litigation. The firm is looking for a proactive and committed Paralegal to assist partners and solicitors with their caseloads.
Responsibilities will include supporting the team on a range of defendant clinical negligence files, advising clients such as NHS Resolution. The role will also involve assisting with inquests, regulatory advice, public law issues, judicial reviews, mental health matters, and clinical risk management.
The Candidate
- Experience in Clinical Negligence or personal injury is desirable
- Experience of NHS Resolution or Medical Defence Organisations work would be desirable
- A pragmatic and methodical approach to handling a variety of Clinical Negligence claims
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
