Senior Legal Recruitment Consultant – Actions Against the Police

A leading law firm is seeking a Solicitor between NQ and 5 years’ PQE to join its growing Actions Against the Police team. The team deal with a range of matters including Civil Liberties and Abuse cases.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of claims against the police and public bodies, covering matters such as unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, breaches of human rights, malicious prosecution, misfeasance in public office, and judicial review proceedings.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in litigation, as the role predominantly involves multi-track cases and civil jury trials.

Candidates with experience in claims against Public Authorities or Abuse claims will also be considered.

The Candidate

  • A qualified solicitor (NQ – 5 years PQE)
  • Experience in Civil Liberties / Actions against the Police
  • Able to handle a caseload from straightforward to complex matters
  • Must have a solid understanding of civil litigation / CPR
  • Strong technical and organisation skills
  • An ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues
  • Excellent client care skills
