We are working on behalf of a leading London-based law firm to recruit a Newly Qualified Solicitor for their expanding Criminal Defence team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in a supportive and dynamic environment, working on high-profile cases and gaining hands-on advocacy experience.
You will be involved in:
- Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including serious and complex crime
- Attending police stations and representing clients during interviews (Police Station Accreditation preferred)
- Conducting advocacy in Magistrates’ Court (training and support provided)
- Preparing clear, accurate legal advice and documentation
- Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties to progress cases efficiently
- Supporting senior lawyers and contributing to team objectives
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- SRA qualified solicitor with a strong interest in Criminal Law
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
- IT proficiency and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, team-focused approach
Desirable:
- Police Station Accreditation
- Duty Solicitor status or willingness to work towards it
