Children & Family Public Law Solicitor – Coventry – Competitive Salary
Superb opportunity for a Children and Family Public Law Solicitor to join a forward-thinking law firm specialising in family law. The firm pride themselves on their expertise, empathy and constructive approach whilst delivering outstanding client care.
As a Children and Family Public Law Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of complex care and child protection work, and an opportunity to excel in a supportive environment.
The Candidate
- Children and Family Public Law Solicitor, 3+ PQE
- At least three years’ experience working within a Care Department as a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive carrying a full caseload of care proceedings
- Accredited member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel
- Have established a relationship with CAFCASS and other stakeholders
- Dynamic in approach and uses initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients
- Ability to deal with sensitive situations and difficult clients in a professional, confidential manner
- Sufficient knowledge of the legal process to understand the work being undertaken
- Knowledge of the work of Children and Families Public Law Department and the relevant law
- Experience of public funding procedures would be advantageous
- Driving licence and use of own vehicle preferable but ability to travel between offices, courts and stakeholder office essential
