This is an exciting opportunity to join an international law firm in the firm’s Manchester office. The firm is recognised for its leading practices in Corporate, Litigation, Tax, Banking & Finance, Real Estate and Private Wealth with a longstanding commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, setting itself apart in the market.
The team are looking for an Associate with transactional, advisory and contentious restructuring and insolvency experience, working closely with fee earners across offices to support both non-contentious restructuring and insolvency litigation work. The team is recognised in independent legal rankings for its breadth of expertise in insolvency and restructuring, particularly noted for public sector and property-related insolvency work. The team frequently collaborates with other specialists to deliver complex, high-value mandates.
The firm encourages lawyers to go beyond legal advice and develop real commercial insight. Associates are supported to build technical expertise, manage clients, and raise their professional profile.
The Candidate Experience
- Insolvency litigation with 4+ years PQE
- Experience in contentious and non-contentious in a broad range of insolvency matters
- Ability to work to deadlines/targets, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Strong client focus, drive, enthusiasm, and a flexible, proactive attitude
- Experience or exposure to business development with the ability to maintain strong client relationships
