A highly regarded national practice with a strong reputation in complex regulatory and advisory work is seeking a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Partner to join its expanding Manchester team. The firm is recognised for handling high-profile and sensitive matters across a range of regulated sectors, acting for clients in both the private and public sphere. This is an excellent opportunity for a Crime and Regulatory Solicitor / Partner to take ownership of complex matters while supporting the wider leadership team and contributing to the continued growth of the Manchester practice.
The Role:
- Leading on a broad range of regulatory and compliance-based matters, including coronial investigations, statutory inquiries and investigations by external regulatory bodies
- Advising clients across corporate, public sector and not-for-profit organisations on both contentious and advisory issues
- Managing complex and high-profile matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development and performance
- Supporting the operational running of the team and assisting senior leadership in day-to-day management
- Maintaining high standards of client service and ensuring matters are delivered efficiently and effectively
- Supporting business development activity and contributing to the growth of the practice
About You:
- Experienced Senior Associate, Legal Director or equivalent with a background in regulatory or criminal defence work
- Strong track record of handling complex and sensitive matters
- Confident in supervising and developing junior lawyers
- Commercially aware with a proactive, client-focused approach
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Able to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Ambitious and looking to take a leading role within a growing team
