Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor – Leeds – Up to £80,000

A leading UK law firm is looking to recruit a Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor to join its specialist team in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor to join a well-established legal team working on a varied caseload for clients across the healthcare and public sectors.

The role will primarily involve inquest work, with the opportunity to gain exposure to a broader range of healthcare advisory and regulatory matters.

Based in Leeds, the position may also involve some travel for hearings and client meetings.

The Role

  • Manage a varied caseload of inquest and healthcare-related matters
  • Attend hearings and pre-hearing meetings, including travel where required
  • Undertake advocacy at hearings where appropriate
  • Meet with clients and witnesses to prepare for hearings and proceedings
  • Provide legal advice to organisations operating within the healthcare and social care sectors
  • Assist with wider healthcare regulatory matters and advisory work
  • Support clients on issues relating to healthcare law, regulation and professional practice
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider legal team
  • Manage matters effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of client service

About You

  • A Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE
  • Previous experience handling inquest matters
  • Advocacy experience or a strong desire to develop advocacy skills
  • Experience in healthcare, regulatory, public sector or related legal work
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within healthcare regulatory law
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident managing your own workload while also working effectively as part of a team
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to client service
  • Good IT and legal research skills
