The Role:
- Lead and develop a growing Real Estate Litigation offering in Birmingham, taking a key role in the firm's wider national growth strategy
- Advise on a broad range of complex and high-value real estate disputes, delivering exceptional quality work to a diverse client base
- Work closely in partnership with a high-performing transactional real estate team, supporting clients including owner-managed businesses, major developers, property management companies, retailers and public sector bodies
- Build, maintain and expand strong client relationships, while identifying and converting new business opportunities to grow your own practice
- Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to junior lawyers, contributing to the continued development of a collaborative and high-performing team
- Play an active role in shaping the direction of the real estate disputes practice in the Midlands, with genuine autonomy at Partner level

The Candidate:
- An experienced Real Estate Litigation Solicitor operating at Partner level, or a Legal Director / Senior Associate ready to step up
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of real estate disputes, including landlord and tenant, development disputes, and property-related insolvency issues
- A proven or developing client following, with the ability to generate work and build a sustainable pipeline within the property sector
- Commercially minded, with the ambition to play a leading role in growing a real estate litigation practice in the Midlands
- Experience gained within a reputable regional, national, or international firm, with exposure to high-quality real estate disputes work
- Strong understanding of the commercial property market and the needs of clients such as developers, investors, landlords, tenants, and public sector bodies
- Ambitious and motivated, with a clear interest in progression towards Equity Partnership
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong internal relationships, particularly with transactional real estate colleagues
